Chemical resistance – Industrial fluoropolymer coating is normally unaffected by chemical environments. The only chemicals known to affect all industrial fluoropolymer coatings are molten alkali metals and highly reactive fluorinating agents.
Cryogenic stability – Many industrial fluoropolymer coatings withstand severe temperature extremes without loss of physical properties. Fluoropolymer industrial coatings may be used at temperatures as low as -270ºc/-454ºf.

Due to its low friction, it is used for applications (such as plain bearings, gears, slide plates, etc.) where sliding action of parts is needed.
